More than 150 alumni and friends gathered at Vanderbilt’s new Engineering and Science Building for a special Nashville Vanderbilt Chapter evening featuring Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos.
Zeppos shared impressive news about Vanderbilt’s student body, financial health, research and the accomplishments of its world-class faculty. He also discussed strategic goals, highlighting the importance of the equity, diversity and inclusion initiative and future campus planning before thanking alumni for their commitment to the university and reiterating that their partnership is important for Vanderbilt’s future.
“It was a great privilege for local alumni to have the opportunity to spend an evening with Chancellor Zeppos,” said Nashville Vanderbilt Chapter President Keith Ikard, MBA’03. “It was also great to speak with him more informally and to see his excitement for our university’s future.”
After the chancellor’s program, alumni visited with each other and the chancellor. Many also enjoyed a tour of The Wond’ry, the university’s new epicenter for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Nashville is the first of three chapters to host the chancellor this spring. He will visit with alumni in Washington, D.C., April 25 and Boston May 22.
