WOW: ‘Global health and development initiatives in Guinea, the Congo and Kenya’ March 15

International Student and Scholar Services invites you to World on Wednesdays, where the Vanderbilt community engages in presentations, informal conversations and topical lectures on global issues.

Topic: “Ingredients for Effective Programs in Global Health and Development: A Look at Initiatives in Guinea, the Congo and Kenya”

Developing effective programs to address global health problems is complex, whether for global vaccination initiatives or local HIV programs. What makes a global health program successful? Are the right ingredients static or dynamic? Hear lessons learned from working at the CDC in Guinea and the Congo and on a Kenyan Vanderbilt project.

Presented by Grace Umutesi Wa Mana in association with the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health, the Master of Public Health program and Vanderbilt International Anesthesia.
