Vanderbilt, TSU to debate

Share this on Facebook Free debate featuring college and high school students set for Feb. 25

Debaters from Vanderbilt University will compete against a team from Tennessee State University Feb. 25. The bill also will include a debate between high schoolers.

“The Great Debate” begins at 1 p.m. at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church, 2334 Herman St. The event is free, and the public is invited.

Students from Pearl-Cohn Entertainment Magnet High School and McGavock High School will also debate as part of the program.

Vicki Yates, a news reporter and anchor from WTVF, will moderate. A.G. Granderson of Radio 101.1 The Beat will act as master of ceremonies. The sponsor is The Reclamation Center, Inc.
