Are you looking for a summer opportunity for an advanced learner in your life? There is no need to look past your own backyard.

Vanderbilt Summer Academy (VSA), a residential program through Vanderbilt Programs for Talented Youth, offers one-, two- and three-week sessions for qualifying gifted students in rising grades 8-12.

Each session corresponds to the student’s grade level, so be sure to look at the available course options that match that particular session. Students sign up for one VSA course but may rank as many courses that spark an interest. From microeconomics to bioarcheology to criminal law to microscopy of nanomaterials, VSA is sure to have a class that speaks to your student’s academic talents.

The VSA 2017 Application Priority Window opens at noon Thursday, Feb. 2, and runs until noon Thursday, Feb. 9We strongly recommend applying during this weeklong window for the best chance at placement in a first-choice course. While we will accept applications after the priority window, a number of our most popular courses will have filled. To learn about eligibility options and the application process, visit https://pty.vanderbilt.edu/pty/students/vsa/how-to-apply. Need-based financial aid is available to qualifying families, and financial aid applications may be submitted anytime during the admissions process.
