Next Steps at Vanderbilt receives grant, will become 4-year program
A nearly $2 million grant has been given to a program offering students with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to go to college. Jamal Underwood and Amber Cameron are students in the Next Steps program at Vanderbilt, which teaches independent life and social skills, gives students the opportunity to audit Vanderbilt undergraduate courses, and complete internships to land a full-time job.
