While the outside temperatures may have been frightful, they didn’t stop VU employees from delighting in the décor, entertainment and, of course, gifts at VU’s annual giveaway. Thousands of faculty and staff ventured to Langford Auditorium to pick up turkeys, tofurkeys and exclusive Vanderbilt oven mitts from senior leaders.
After swiping their IDs, employees were greeted with several scenic photo stations, carolers, Santa and his elves, and festive films to keep them entertained while waiting in line to get gifts. Representatives from VU public safety, athletics, and the University Staff Advisory Council also stopped by during the day to share information.
Volunteers from both VU and Vanderbilt University Medical Center greeted employees, snapped photos and kept lines moving, while senior leaders gave out the gifts.
