The Vanderbilt Dance Program will resume classes on Monday, Jan. 16. This follows the suspension of classes during the fall 2016 semester due to unforeseen circumstances and structural challenges to the program, according to Vanderbilt’s Arts and Campus Events office.

“Our goals for the Dance Program are to promote artistic development, cultural enrichment and growth in the field of dance and performance, and we are prepared to continue this mission,” said Dwayne Elliott, director of Arts and Campus Events. “We are very excited that the classes will resume this January, and we know that the program was truly missed by our students, faculty, staff and the Nashville community. We have been working hard this semester to make vast improvements to the program, and we can’t wait to see it grow.”

Vanderbilt and Nashville community members will be able to register for classes beginning Dec. 12.

Classes offered during spring 2017 include the following:

  • Ballet (Beginning, Intermediate, Int./Advanced, Advanced)
