Vanderbilt receives six regional Emmy nominations

Emmy_smVanderbilt University has received six Mid-South Regional Emmy nominations for excellence in television, the industry’s highest honor.

Peabody College received four nominations, and Vanderbilt Video in University News and Communications received two. The stories/categories nominated are as follows:

Informational/Instructional Program: Creating Hope: A History of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center (Lyle Jackson, Peabody College; Jack Isenhour, freelancer)

Informational/Instructional Program: VU Inside: Building an Artificial Kidney (Amy Wolf, Pat Slattery, Zack Eagles – Vanderbilt Video)

Informational/Instructional Series: VU Inside: Caving for Climate Cues (Amy Wolf, Zack Eagles, Mike Todd – Vanderbilt Video)

Director/Program: Creating Hope: A History of the Kennedy Center (Lyle Jackson, Peabody College)

Editor/Program: Creating Hope: A History of the Kennedy Center (Lyle Jackson, Peabody College)

Writer/Program: Creating Hope: A History of the Kennedy Center (Jack Isenhour, freelancer)

Winners will be announced Jan. 21, 2017, during a televised ceremony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

Vanderbilt Video has received 41 Mid-South Regional Emmy nominations and won 11 times since the unit’s creation in 2007. Peabody College’s documentary team has received 21 nominations and won six times since 2008.
