Gingerbread paper dolls, snowmen and a scarf-sporting Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer are among the artistic creations adorning products available through the annual Holiday Project benefiting patients and families at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Now in its 43rd year, the Holiday Project offers for sale greeting cards and other merchandise featuring art created by children — patients, siblings and friends — whose lives have been touched by Children’s Hospital.

The 13 artists this year include Louisa, 5, who broke her collarbone at age 3; Bella, 8, who has been battling osteosarcoma, a type of cancer that starts in the bone; and Overton, 12, who was treated in the Emergency Department after an injury.

Their unique creations are sold to raise money to support patients and families at Children’s Hospital, and all proceeds benefit the hospital.

Items for sale include holiday cards, gift tags, Willa’s cheese shortbread, hand-painted ornaments, Christie Cookies and Bongo Java coffee.

Products are available online through Friday, Dec. 16, and at partner retailers including The Friends Shop, Katy’s Hallmark, Phillips Toy Mart, White’s Mercantile and Hot Pink.

The Holiday Project is coordinated by Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, a volunteer organization that provides support to patients and families.
