Three of the best music writers working today got together at Vanderbilt University for a “free-ranging discussion” centering on musicians they have studied and chronicled.
Peter Ames Carlin spoke about Bruce Springsteen; Peter Guralnick weighed in on Elvis Presley and producer Sam Phillips; and Elijah Wild reflected on Bob Dylan. The event was held in the Sarratt Student Center on Oct. 27, 2016.
The moderator was historian Jefferson Cowie, the James G. Stahlman Professor of History.
