Vaccination event planned for Oct. 28 in Sarratt Cinema
Think you don’t have time to get vaccinated against influenza? Consider this: Do you have a week to be bedridden with the flu? Whether battling it yourself or caring for a sick child or loved one, flu can rob you of productivity and social time. Each year it keeps hundreds of Vanderbilt staff, faculty and students away from work and the classroom.
The best defense against flu is getting a vaccination to protect yourself and to reduce the risk of spreading flu to others at work and at home. Vanderbilt’s annual Flulapalooza event was held Oct. 11, vaccinating more than 14,000 faculty, staff and students in a 12-hour period. But perhaps you missed it.
The good news? Boo to the Flu offers faculty, staff and students another chance to get a free flu shot quickly and conveniently on Friday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Sarratt Cinema. Simply bring your Vanderbilt ID and wear short sleeves.
Boo to the Flu is sponsored by Vanderbilt Student Health and Occupational Health.
