Vanderbilt has more than 135,000 living alumni making an impact on every corner of the globe. To recognize alumni for their contributions to both Vanderbilt and their professions, the Vanderbilt Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Distinguished Alumnus/a Award and five additional awards.
The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award is Vanderbilt s most prestigious honor for alumni, but our full slate of awards helps us celebrate the many talents of our alumni, explains Jane Ann Gass, BS 74, chair of the Awards Committee.
The Distinguished Alumnus/a Award recognizes accomplishments and contributions with a broad impact and positive effect on humankind. Recipients are celebrated for going beyond their successful vocations to bring benefit to the universal community.
The Alumni Volunteer Award recognizes a significant and positive pattern of volunteer service to the university.
The Young Alumni Professional Achievement Award (for alumni age 40 or under at the time of nomination) honors a significant record of career achievement and promise of future professional success.
The Young Alumni Volunteer Award (for alumni age 40 or under at the time of nomination) recognizes a significant, sustained and positive pattern of volunteer service to the university.
The Alumni Public Service Award is for superior service in the public sector, a sustained pattern of volunteer service in the community, or service to the arts that positively represents the university and fellow citizens, and is not political work.
The International Alumni Professional Achievement Award recognizes alumni living outside the United States with distinctive success in their chosen professional fields.
