Nashville Mayor Megan Barry was the guest speaker at an undergraduate political science class on April 11.
The class, titled “Politicians,” examines the skills needed to be a successful politician and the often-conflicting demands of political life. It is taught by John Geer, vice provost for academic and strategic affairs and Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of Political Science, and Jon Meacham, Distinguished Visiting Professor at Vanderbilt and a Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian.
