Opportunities for faculty, staff to hear prominent speakers, great music

Two upcoming annual events will provide Vanderbilt faculty and staff with opportunities to hear from prominent speakers and experience world-class musical performances.

The 2016 Impact Symposium will feature best-selling author Azar Nafisi, Black Lives Matter activist and Teach For America Executive Director Brittany Packnett, Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Spike Lee and former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner. All will deliver public lectures at Vanderbilt March 21-23. Vanderbilt faculty and staff are allowed two free tickets to each event. Tickets can be picked up at the Sarratt Student Center Box Office.

The Rites of Spring Music Festival is scheduled for Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, on Alumni Lawn. Artists for this year’s festival include Future, Porter Robinson (live), Lil Dicky, Bad Suns, Kat Dahlia and The Candid. Weekend passes for Vanderbilt faculty and staff are $50 and available at the Sarratt Student Center Box Office.
