Five Vanderbilt Alumnae named “Women of Influence”

Gold Trophy on Gold Bokeh BackgroundNashville Business Journal has named five Vanderbilt alumnae as “Women of Influence.” According to Allison Nash, associate editor of the NBJ, the awards recognize executives, attorneys and entrepreneurs for their “business accomplishments, commitment to community and willingness to push the envelope.”

The following alumnae, and the other 31 honorees, were celebrated during a Feb. 9 reception.

Barbara Sutton, BA’77, a partner at Dempsey Vantrease & Follis PLLC

Andrée Blumstein, JD’81, solicitor general in the Tennessee Office of the Attorney General

Laura Reinbold, BE’82, director of client development at Terracon Consulting Inc.

Shari Meghreblian, ME’01, PhD’10, deputy commissioner, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation
