Student research opportunities from the Office of Honor Scholarships

Here are research and research funding opportunities for undergraduates and graduate students from the Office of Honor Scholarships. Please contact Lyn Fulton-John or Todd Peterson in the Office of Honor Scholarships for guidance in submitting a competitive application.

DAAD RISE (Research in Science and Engineering) Program  Over 700 opportunities to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of one-and-a-half to three months during the summer. German language skills not required. Open to math, science, and engineering students who have completed at least two years of study. RISE interns are matched with doctoral students whom they assist and who serve as their mentors. Review the opportunities on the DAAD website (registration required). Online application due no later than January 15.

DAAD RISE-pro summer and fall research internships in Germany for current STEM Master’s and Ph.D. students. Must be enrolled at Vanderbilt during the grant period. Online applications are due no later than January 31. Opportunities and applicant information are listed on the DAAD website (registration required).
