Vanderbilt University Theatre opened its 2015–16 season in early October with Metamorphoses, a theatrical adaptation by Mary Zimmerman of Ovid’s classical Greek stories. The highly visual production was set in and around a large pool of water—16 feet square with approximately 2,000 gallons of water, designed by Phillip Franck, associate professor of theatre; Alexandra Sargent, senior lecturer in theatre; and Matthew Stratton, technical director.
