Medical informatics group elects Lehmann

Christoph Lehmann, M.D., professor of Pediatrics and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was recently elected president-elect of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA).

He will assume the office of president in 2017 at a ceremony in Beijing, China.

The IMIA is a global body for health and biomedical informatics.

Lehmann is also the medical director of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Child Health Informatics Center, previously served as treasurer of the American Medical Informatics Association and is the editor of the journal Applied Clinical Informatics.
