The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center (VKC) recently welcomed Timothy Shriver, Ph.D., chair and CEO of Special Olympics, as part of the center’s 50th anniversary celebration. Shriver recognized VKC’s work to improve the lives of people with disabilities in a speech he delivered 50 years to the day that his parents, Sargent and Eunice Kennedy Shriver, spoke at the center’s opening convocation.
