A large portion of 24th Avenue South from Kensington Place to just north of the Vanderbilt Orthopedic Surgery/Free Electron Laser Building will be closed from Monday, Aug. 10, to Friday, Aug. 14, to accommodate a construction project in the area.
The project will expand chilled water lines in the area to upgrade the current system and prepare for the new Engineering and Science Building, currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2016.
Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking will place signs in the area detailing detour instructions for drivers. They are as follows:
Access to VOS/FEL Building
- Turn south off of West End Avenue onto 25th Avenue South.
- Turn left onto Garland Avenue. Garland Avenue is the third street on the left.
- Turn left at second drive into the University Club parking lot.
- Follow signs to VOS/FEL Building.
A valet attendant will park your car.
