Aerospace Club Wins NASA Competition

For the third year in a row, the Vanderbilt Aerospace Club has won NASA’s annual rocketry competition, beating out 30 other university and college teams. The primary goal of the 2014–15 Student Launch Challenge was to build a rocket that would fly to a target altitude of 3,000 feet, but other elements factored into the contest, including vehicle and payload design. The competition took place April 11 in Toney, Alabama, near NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.
