Faculty-Staff Campaign helps build a stronger Vanderbilt
In 1873, a single gift established Vanderbilt University. Today, it continues to thrive thanks to the philanthropic investments of the Vanderbilt community.
Faculty and staff play a vital role in this community through the time and talents they invest in it daily, along with their participation in the Faculty-Staff Campaign—an annual initiative that encourages faculty and staff to make gifts to Vanderbilt to help sustain the work they do each day.
For the second year, Vanessa Beasley, associate professor of communication studies and director of the Program in American Studies, and Trey Beasley, assistant vice chancellor for treasury and university treasurer, will co-chair the campaign. “We are honored to serve as co-chairs of the campaign for the second year in a row, and we hope you will join us in support of building a better Vanderbilt together,” they said.
Last year, 1,304 people participated in the Faculty-Staff Campaign. This year the goal is to increase participation and raise $1 million. These contributions will build upon the strong tradition of faculty and staff giving back to any area of Vanderbilt that is meaningful to them.
“Through your support, we can build an even stronger Vanderbilt,” said Kyle McGowan, assistant vice chancellor of annual giving. “By giving back, you help continue our efforts to ensure talented students have access to a Vanderbilt education and lives are changed through transformative discovery and innovative ideas.”
Gifts made by university faculty and staff from July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015, count toward the 2015 Faculty-Staff Campaign. Please make a one-time contribution or sign up for payroll deduction today.
