Fowl Deeds Will Rise

Even turkeys can’t resist a good photobombing op. Billy Teets, outreach astronomer for Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory, captured this inter-species scene recently on the grounds of the observatory, which, owing to its proximity to Radnor Lake, draws wildlife in abundance. Turkeys enjoy visual acuity that is vastly superior to a human’s, and they can rotate their necks completely. Perhaps they, like humans, were there for the celestial view.
