Minutes from the Vanderbilt Faculty Senate’s Sept. 11 meeting are now available online on the Faculty Senate website. (Meeting minutes are published approximately one month after the senate convenes.)
At the Sept. 11 meeting, Chair Paul Lim gave an overview of the issues currently under discussion by the senate’s Executive Committee, including implementation of the Academic Strategic Plan, new training for faculty in the event of sexual misconduct incidents on campus, and an effort to better streamline the travel and reimbursement process through the Concur system. (To learn more about Lim’s thoughts on the senate’s agenda for the coming year, read “A Conversation with Faculty Senate Chair Paul Lim.”)
Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos presented remarks about the strategic planning process, the university’s investments, and the overall health care environment.
Lim also recognized new senators, the members of the Executive Committee, the senate’s task force chairs and new university administrators. He then presented the senate committees with their charges for the year.
