Former astronaut meets with Zeppos during campus visit

Kevin P. Chilton, a retired four-star U.S. Air Force general and former astronaut, visited Vanderbilt Oct. 24. Pictured are Chilton (left) and Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos prior to Chilton’s talk at Featheringill Hall.

Chilton discussed “Problem Solving and Team Work at 17,500 Miles an Hour.” He shared his experiences as a test pilot, an astronaut and commander of U.S. Air Force Space Command.

Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Sharon Weiss, who formerly served with Chilton on the Defense Science Study Group, invited him to speak.
