Free Commodore basketball fan event is Nov. 2

The Vanderbilt men’s and women’s basketball teams will host the first-ever Basketball Dore Jam fan event on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Memorial Gym. The event is free, and all Vanderbilt employees and their families are invited to attend.

Modeled after the highly successful football event of the same name, Dore Jam will allow fans to meet and get autographs from Commodore players and coaches, including head coaches Kevin Stallings and Melanie Balcomb, on the court in historic Memorial Gym.

In addition to opportunities to interact with the players and coaches, fans can get exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of the men’s and women’s basketball locker rooms, team film room and the new SEC Network production studio. Young fans will have the opportunity to take part in the interactive Kids Zone located in the Memorial practice gym.

Parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage, located at the corner of 25th and Highland avenues. Fans will enter Memorial Gym through the southeast entrance located just beyond the outfield seating of Hawkins Field.

Discounted employee season tickets for men’s and women’s basketball games are available for purchase by calling the Vanderbilt Ticket Office at (615) 322-GOLD (4653) or online at vucommodores.com.
