The women’s golf team finished in a tie for 10th place at the NCAA Championship on May 23 with a final team total of 1,163 (303–290–286–284). Freshman Simin Feng led the Commodores with an individual score of 284 (75–71–71–67), which tied her for 13th on the individual leader board. Feng also was named a second-team All-American on May 29 by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. She is the 12th All-American in program history and the second-ever Commodore freshman to be honored.
Meanwhile, the men’s golf team competed in its first NCAA Championship since 2007. The team narrowly missed the eight-team match play cut May 26, finishing in a tie for 16th position with a final three-round score of 854 (281–285–288). Junior Hunter Stewart led the way with a one-over par 211 (71–70–70, T–35).
