Microsoft offers Office 365 ProPlus free to students through Student Advantage

Beginning Friday, Aug. 29, Vanderbilt students will be able to install Office 365 ProPlus free of charge on up to five devices, including PC, Mac, tablet and mobile.

Microsoft began offering Office 365 ProPlus as part of the Student Advantage program last January, and this program has become part of Vanderbilt University’s new campus agreement with the software company.

“Students don’t need to spend nearly $80 for a four-year subscription to obtain the software anymore,” said Scott Hogan, director of core infrastructure services with VUIT. “Microsoft has incorporated this into its Student Advantage package, and we want to be sure our students take advantage of it.”

Office 365 ProPlus offers access to select software included in the Microsoft Office Suite depending on the type of device. For a full list of programs, visit https://it.vanderbilt.edu/services/o365/index.php.
