Jessica Love, a licensed mastered social worker with Alive Hospice, will answer questions about hospice care at a talk on Wednesday, July 16.
Some of the questions she will address are:
- When is hospice called?
- Who makes the call for hospice services?
- What programs do hospice offer for the family and the patient?
- Who pays for hospice services?
- What is palliative care?
- Is there a time period which one can use hospice/palliative services?
- How can a hospice social worker benefit the family during a loved one’s end of life?
The event will be held in Light Hall, Room 431, noon to 1 p.m. All are welcome and it is free of charge.
This presentation is part of the Boomers, Elders and More series, hosted by The Vanderbilt Child and Family Center, a part of Faculty and Staff Health and Wellness.
