A memorial service to celebrate the life of Barbara Schulz is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in Benton Chapel on the Vanderbilt campus.
Schulz was a longtime staff member in the Vanderbilt General Counsel’s office, retiring in 2011 after 22 years of service. She died March 8 after a lengthy illness. A 1967 graduate of Peabody College, she was preceded in death by her husband, former Vanderbilt faculty member Hans-Joachim Schulz.
Barbara Schulz is survived by daughter Bridget Johnson Stewart, son-in-law John Stewart and grandson Cody Stewart, all of Nashville; stepson Phillip Schulz and his wife Stephanie of Burgwedel, Germany; and many devoted friends.
Dress for the May 31 event is casual, and all are invited to attend.
