Registration is now open for Sarratt Youth Art Institute Summer 2014.
Children of all ages love the chance to be creative at the Sarratt Youth Art Institute! There is a lot of fun and learning as children explore clay, painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, textile arts, while making new friends and learning about the wonderful world of art.
Voted Best Kids Camp of Nashville 2012 in the Nashville Scene’s readers poll, we’re looking forward to another busy and exciting summer of art in 2014.
The Summer 2014 Sarratt Youth Art Institute will offer one week classes by age groups.
Ages 8–16 will explore two to three different studio classes each day during a session.
Ages 5–7 will be buzzing with excitement as they explore clay, drawing, painting and more of the things this age group loves in a week we are calling “Artsapalooza” or an exciting array of mediums such as paper making and sum prints during the weeks marked “Nature Crafts.”
Children are divided into groups of 10 to 12 based on their ages and enrollment. Please see the schedule below for studio offerings each week. At SYAI, our goal is to focus in on each technique and have a more productive and fun time in each studio.
Our theme for summer 2014 is “Create Your Own Landscapes” and features an interactive gallery exhibit of the same title by artist and Vanderbilt alumna Nicole Pietrantone.
