The Vanderbilt Woman’s Club invites the Nashville community to its eighth annual ScholarSips, a wine tasting and silent auction benefiting Vanderbilt students.
All proceeds go directly to the Ada Bell Stapleton/Blanche Henry Weaver Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to deserving sophomores and juniors at Vanderbilt. Currently, nine undergraduates are being funded through the scholarship.
Silent auction items include gourmet dinners prepared by club members, original art, concert and football tickets, and a ridealong in the Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Central Library. Single tickets are $40 per person. A portion of the ticket price is directed to the scholarship fund, and that portion is tax deductible.
You also may purchase a $100 sponsorship ticket, which admits one guest, or a $200 sponsorship ticket, which admits two guests. The balance of these tickets is considered a donation to the scholarship fund.
