Vanderbilt’s investment office announces two new hires

Two new investment managers have joined Vanderbilt University.

Brandon Baker and Natasha Cupps both have the title of investment manager, public markets, according to Anders Hall, vice chancellor for investments and chief investment officer.

Baker, who will focus on hedge funds, comes to Vanderbilt from the University of Florida. He is a graduate of the school’s Warrington College of Business.

Cupps will focus on public equities. She previously was employed by Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, Texas. Cupps graduated from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Vanderbilt’s endowment consists of traditional and alternative investments, including real estate, public equities, hedge funds and private market investments.
