Timothy McNamara, vice provost for faculty and international affairs and professor of psychology at Vanderbilt, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.
McNamara was elected during SACSCOC’s 2013 annual meeting held Dec. 7-10 in Atlanta. The Board of Trustees’ responsibilities include guiding the commission’s work, approving revisions of accrediting standards, and taking action on the accreditation of member institutions.
