Alumni Association Updates

Summer Send-Off Parties Welcome New Students

Since 1968 alumni have been hosting parties to welcome new students to the Vanderbilt community. This past summer, 46 Summer Send-Off Parties were held nationally and internationally. These parties brought together alumni, current students, and incoming students and their families in a casual setting in their hometowns to celebrate the university’s newest arrivals and send them off in Vanderbilt style. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Class of 1963 Graduates to Quinqdom

The Vanderbilt Alumni Association welcomes its newest class of Quinqs, the Class of 1963. The class was recognized at Vanderbilt’s 2013 Commencement when 28 members marched in the processional with the Class of 2013. They officially became Quinqs during the Class of 1963 Reunion Reception at the Vanderbilt University Residence on Oct. 3.

Class Ring Styles Expand

In addition to the original gold and black onyx ring, alumni and students may now select from two new designs. The new all-metal signet ring for men and women includes the updated university logo while honoring the classic Vanderbilt style. Women also can choose the new vintage-style cocktail ring, with a sunburst of diamonds or cubic zirconias. Learn more.
