Barnes & Noble at Vanderbilt will welcome Cory Basil for a very special Gallery B&N at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The event will include a discussion and Q&A with Basil about his new book, Perils of Fishboy; a book signing; refreshments for all ages (wine for the adults, cider and hot cocoa for the kids); an art gallery showcasing original illustrations from the book; and interactive displays for children.
The event is free and open to the entire family. Free parking will be available for Barnes & Noble shoppers in the 2525 Garage directly behind the bookstore.
Basil is an American author, painter and filmmaker who blends gothic romanticism with modern poetic rhythm. Raised in Phoenix, he currently lives in Nashville, Tenn. His first collection of poetry and prose is Skinny Dipping in Daylight, published in 2012.
