Vanderbilt’s Faculty Senate convened on Sept. 12 for its first regular meeting of the academic year. Minutes from the meeting are now available on the Faculty Senate website. (Meeting minutes are published approximately one month after the senate convenes.)
Chair Donald Brady introduced new senators as well as the chairs of the senate’s six standing committees and two task forces for 2013-14. The group heard from Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos about the Strategic Planning process that is currently underway. Zeppos and Vice Chancellor for Administration Jerry Fife discussed campus safety issues, and Brady also led a discussion about the Green Dots program.
