There are a variety of reasons to take an art class or workshop, including:
To help you check off a few things from this list, Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Art Studios is now offering weekend workshops and mini courses.
“Copper Enameling Creations” and “Exploring Digital Photography” begin the week of Oct. 28 and meet once per week for four weeks. The digital photography class is open to any type of digital camera (yes, even cell phones!) and provides instruction in how to enhance your photos with user-friendly software.
Weekend workshops are available beginning Oct. 26 with a two-day workshop, “Just Earrings,” or a half-day workshop, “Secrets of Shibori, Designs on Silk.”
Imagine wearing the awesome cuff that you created in the weekend workshop “A Bracelet, A Cuff and A Bracelet” Nov. 9 and 10.
Since 1975, Sarratt Art Studios has been offering noncredit studio art classes to the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities. Located on the main floor of the Sarratt Student Center, adults of all ages and from all parts of the community enjoy exploring pottery, jewelry, digital photography, drawing, watercolor and fused glass.
