The Nashville Health Care Council recently celebrated the commencement of its inaugural class of Nashville Health Care Fellows, including Vanderbilt’s Laura Beth Brown, vice president of Vanderbilt Health Services.
During a four-month span this year, 32 fellows representing many facets of the health care industry completed a rigorous curriculum. Co-chaired by former U.S. Sen. Bill Frist, M.D., and Larry Van Horn, associate professor of Management and executive director of Health Affairs at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, the program featured nationally renowned speakers in leadership, health care, economics and business strategies.
Topics covered a wide variety of areas including fiscal challenges, fundamental shifts in reimbursement systems, population health management, health care analytics and consumerism.
The Nashville Health Care Council is an initiative of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
