The Vanderbilt sophomore honored multiple times over for creating cost-effective inventions to clean the air and rescue the environment will be profiled in a one-hour special on CNN this weekend.
A story on 18-year-old Param Jaggi, a two-time recipient of Forbes’ Top 30 Under 30 award, will air on CNN’s The Next List hosted by Sanjay Gupta on Saturday, April 6, at 1:30 p.m., with a second airing on Sunday, April 7, at 1:30 p.m.
“The Next List profiles innovators, visionaries and agents of change. They’re not household names just yet, but they’re movers and shakers in their own worlds. We’re introducing them to you because these individuals are steadily mapping the course to the future with their new ideas,” said CNN producer Joshua Belsky.
Jaggi is an environmental science and economics major in the College of Arts and Science. While still in high school, he invented an algae-filled device that fits over a car’s tailpipe and turns carbon dioxide into oxygen. He is now working on a thermo-voltaic wind system that can be installed in an exhaust system to capture energy from waste air and heat. With his father, Jaggi founded the company EcoViate.
