The Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Holiday Project saw another banner year, raising $75,000 in 2012 for the hospital.
Now the organization, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, is seeking child artists for Holiday Project 2013.
The deadline to enter child-designed artwork in the contest is Thursday, Feb. 28.
Each year since 1973, the hospital’s patients, former patients and their siblings have designed artwork to be turned into holiday cards, gift tags and other festive treats.
The Holiday Project items are then sold to raise money to help patients get well and help healthy children stay healthy.
The Holiday Project, one of the group’s longest-running fundraising efforts, has brought in more than $1 million since its inception.
Entry forms/drawing sheets are available online on the Friends website at http://www.childrenshospital.vanderbilt.org/guide.php?mid=2635.
Examples of artwork may include Christmas designs, Hanukkah greetings, winter wishes, happy holidays and happy New Year’s designs.
