Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering William Grissom has been selected as one of the 2013 Frontiers in Bioengineering Workshop Young Investigators and will participate in the event Feb. 25-26 at Georgia Tech’s Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience.
Frontiers is a two-day, interdisciplinary convergence of leaders from the fields of bioimaging, biomaterials, and cellular and molecular bioengineering. Primary objectives of the workshop include construction of dialogue pertaining to cutting-edge research and identification of the industry’s most critical challenges.
Grissom’s poster presentation “Developments in ultra-high field MRI RF excitation and MRI guidance for high-intensity focused ultrasound surgery” is based on highlights from his research group. His research interests include RF pulse design for MRI, particularly parallel excitation MRI for guided interventions, fast algorithms, inverse problems and optimization.
In addition to the line-up of young investigators, speakers from around the world will present their latest research and talk about future trends in their research area.
