The Vanderbilt Woman’s Club invites the Nashville community to its seventh annual Scholar-Sips, a wine tasting and silent auction benefiting Vanderbilt students.
All proceeds go directly to the Ada Bell Stapleton/Blanche Henry Weaver Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to worthy rising sophomores and juniors at Vanderbilt. Currently, 10 undergraduates are being funded through the scholarship.
Past silent auction items have included gourmet dinners prepared by club members, a handmade Vanderbilt quilt, original art and jewelry, and gift baskets.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center ballroom. Single tickets are $40 per person. A portion of the ticket price is directed to the scholarship fund, and that portion is tax deductible.
You also may purchase a $100 sponsorship ticket, which admits one guest, or a $200 sponsorship ticket, which admits two guests. The balance of these tickets is considered a donation to the scholarship fund.
Please RSVP by completing a reply card.
