Vanderbilt Football Celebrates Victory against Ole Miss

DYNAMITE   In the final 52 seconds of the Nov. 10 contest against Ole Miss, Vanderbilt took the lead for the first time in the game, winning 27–26. A few weeks later Vanderbilt closed the season with seven straight wins for its longest streak since 1948, capped by a 38–24 victory over North Carolina State in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on Dec. 31. The Commodores’ 9–4 season was their best since 1915, with the most SEC wins since 1935.
