Vote for Commodores on ESPN website, help Vanderbilt win $10,000

In anticipation of the opening football game on Aug. 30, visit ESPN.com/CollegeColorsDay and vote for the Vanderbilt Commodores. (Image courtesy of ESPN.com)

NOTE: Voting has been suspended due to “inauthentic activity,” according to the ESPN Website. We hope this will be rectified and voting will be resumed, but for now the contest is compromised.

ESPN is sponsoring Pledge Your Allegiance, an online contest where fans can vote for their favorite university team and win $10,000 for the school’s general scholarship fund.

Support Vanderbilt by visiting ESPN.com/CollegeColorsDay, select “Vanderbilt Commodores” and click “submit.” The contest ends Aug. 31 at 11:59 a.m. ET. You may vote daily. Read the official rules here. (NOTE: If you are a Vanderbilt clinical worker and cannot access the site at work, we hope you’ll vote from home or on your handheld device!)

The institution with the most fans registered will not only earn bragging rights, but also win the College Colors Day Spirit Cup – and $10,000 for its general scholarship fund.

Once you vote for the Dores, you may enter your information and continue on to enter a sweepstakes to win prizes, though this step is optional.

This year, Vanderbilt will observe College Colors Day, a national celebration of the traditions and spirit of intercollegiate athletics, in tandem with its opening football game at Vanderbilt Stadium. All Commodore fans are encouraged to wear black on Thursday, Aug. 30, when Vanderbilt will kick off SEC football with its nationally televised game against South Carolina on ESPN.
