A fire at a private residence on 18th Avenue South blocked a street adjacent to The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons at Vanderbilt on Tuesday morning, Aug. 7.
The fire is contained to the residence at 1502 18th Ave. S. The Metro Fire Department has closed 18th Avenue South from Wedgewood Avenue to Horton Avenue to battle the blaze.
Vanderbilt University Police Department officers are on the scene assisting Metro Fire at this time.
