The price of regular parking permits for University Central faculty, staff and students will increase an additional $5 per month for the 2012-13 academic year, to a total of $32 per month. This monthly increase is necessary to cover the continued rising costs of maintaining parking lots and garages.
Traffic and Parking covers all operating costs associated with campus parking, and this increase has been approved and is supported by senior leadership.
Traffic and Parking continues to offer lower-cost, alternative transportation options, including the MTA Ride-to-Work Program, discounted tickets for the RTA Express buses and Music City Star, vanpool and carpool-matching options.
In addition, any Vanderbilt faculty, staff or student is eligible to park for free in the Chestnut Street parking lot located near the Nashville Sounds’ stadium. A shuttle runs between this lot and Medical Center North Monday through Friday. For more information, visit the Traffic and Parking website.
