The Flashback Trojan BOT that affects the Macintosh operating system has been detected on the Vanderbilt network. Infected machines could be blocked from accessing the network. A detection tool is available at its.vanderbilt.edu/news/flashback-virus. Please download and run the “Trojan Check” application and determine if your system is infected.

All Macintosh users should run Software Update and install all security updates. Also, be sure your McAfee Security (its.vanderbilt.edu/antivirus/downloads#mac) definitions are up-to-date.
