April 9-13 is National Patient Advocacy Week. Vanderbilt recognizes and expresses great appreciation for the work of the Office of Patient Affairs, which serves all Vanderbilt community members who enter Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a patient or a patient’s loved one.
VUMC’s patient advocates perform essential service recovery functions and seldom receive recognition. This week offers a time to shine a light on Vanderbilt’s patient affairs representatives, who work with patients, families, health care professionals and staff to field comments and concerns as they arise.
