Susan Kevra, senior lecturer in French and Italian at Vanderbilt, will lead a second workshop of Jane Austen-era dances from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in Alumni Hall. The event follows a successful dance workshop held in early February that drew more than 100 participants from across campus.
Al and Emily Cantrell again will provide music on fiddle and piano. The dance will take place in the Alumni Hall ballroom. Admission is $6 for general admission and $5 for students. Participants should arrive on time, as dances will go from simple to more complex as the evening progresses.
No partner or experience is necessary. Wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes (flip flops and high heels should be avoided.)
